Solution Description
New Industrial Order is developing an application that leverages production- and sales data to enable flexible, fast, no-waste production of knitted textile shapes at local SME manufacturers in Europe.
The novel fashion system is designed to produce less garments, by enabling brands to order from 1 piece quantity, based on actual sales, using zero waste knitting technology. Currently, production from 1 piece is not commercially viable. Our application consists of a new completely integrated system, that optimises each step from idea to the consumer, reducing the cost and time of small quantity textile production.
The aim is to make local, demand-driven knitwear production more attractive than production outside Europe, not only in terms of artistic quality, product performance and circularity but also in terms of convenience, transparency and financial security.
During the SoTecIn Factory program the team will develop two technological components (phase 1).
